State Minister for Luwero Triangle in the office of the Prime Minister visits the Katikkiro of Buganda on developmental issues.

State Minister in the office of the prime Minister for Luwero Triangle and Rwenzori region Hon Alice Karamuzi Kaboyo has visited the office of the Katikkiro to discuss on how Buganda Kingdom can collaborate with the central government on issues concerning cultural heritage and other development issues in Luwero triangle and the country at large, for the good of the kingdom and the country.
During the meeting between the first Deputy Katikkiro of Buganda Owek Haji Twaha Kawaase, and Hon. Kaboyo, some of the issues that were discussed about are issues of development of Buganda in Luwero Triangle, and how the Kingdom can engage people to take part in government development programs.
Minister Alice Kaboyo noted that people in both Buganda and Uganda at large need to benefit from the government’s development programs such as Emyooga, PDM and other programs, commending Buganda kingdom for playing a very big role towards sensitizing Ugandans about such programs and bringing out developmental issues.
Hon Kaboyo added that they have agreed with the kingdom to work together in bringing out the cultural development in Luwero Triangle, together with other development issues, that they not only benefit people in Buganda but all Ugandans, since they have the similar needs.
The first Deputy prime Minister Owek Haji Twaha Kawaase has commended the great idea from the central government to collaborate with the kingdom in developing Buganda cultural heritage in Luwero Triangle, which he says is a good image before all Ugandans.
He noted that a lot of Buganda cultural issues are in Luwero triangle which need to be managed saying this collaboration is to bring out the honour needed towards the country’s history in Luwero Triangle, such as managing and maintaining the monuments for the people who died during the war, which until now, some of them have not been fully maintained.

Kawaase added his voice on the minister’s voice, mentioning that whatever benefits the people in the Kingdom of Buganda directly benefits all Ugandans at large therefore, all people in the country are to benefit from the cultural developments and any other developmental issues from the Luwero Triangle.
He added that Buganda goverment has initiated projects for people’s development and well being such as blood donation that contributes to the Uganda blood bank, Emwanyi terimba project that is similar to operation wealth creation by the central government, the kingdom works with the central government on health issues through the ministry of health, among others.
He pledged on behalf of the kingdom to continue working together with the central goverment in working towards people’s development and well being, including luwero Triangle development.
