Motocross Team leaves for Morocco with high hopes to bring Africa Nations Championship

Motorcross Team Uganda has left the country to Africa Nations Motocross championship in Morocco.

The team flagged off at the event held at National council of Sports premises in Lugogo on 23 October 2024 to the championship which is going take place between 25 and 28 October 2024.

National council of Sports got represented by the assistant general secretary Joseph Oluga.

Oluga while giving his remarks he praised the Motorcross flatanity for the commitment and being Patriotic to their country Uganda.

“It is privileged officiate the Flag off this team, as the government we have all the Support for FMU.
FMU has demonstrated to make a priority Sport, in all the the Motocross flatanity with the love for the Sport and for the country”

This is an expensive Sport when you look at the requirements but we are all in it, we know it is not easy to meet all the requirements but the government will always try to provide what is with in the means”

This time we are confident that the presence of the team at the international scene will bring glory to the country”

National council of Sports is the government arm at managing sports affairs under the ministry of education and Sports.

At the championship Uganda is in expectations of facing competition from South Africa, Morocco, Kenya and Namibia.

In total Uganda has sent 32 riders for the championship under the managerial status of former team captain Arthur Blick Junior.
