Former MP Engola donates Wheelchairs to PWDs in Lira district

Former MP Sam Engola distributed 12 wheelchairs worth shs12 million to people with disabilities (PWDs) in Erute South, Lira District.

MP Engola, also a senior presidential advisor on Lango affairs, urged disabled people to express their concerns so that they can be offered help in case any chance comes their way.

During the distribution of the 12 wheelchairs at senior quarters in Lira City, MP Engola, noted that this will enable people with disabilities to receive direct services from a variety of partners as a way of solving their challenges.

Engola’s political assistant Ferdinand Acai Okelloaid commended MP Engola for collaborating with other partners especially the community Focus International to improve the quality of life for people with various disabilities.

The Executive Director of Community Focus International, Benson Ocan expressed gratitude towards MP Engola for his genuine leadership and concern for the community’s well-being. He expressed confidence that the wheelchairs will improve mobility in the community.

One of the beneficiaries Susan Akullu expressed happiness that she was challenged taking her child to school but she now believes that the wheelchair will make things easier for them.

In the same way, Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Florence Kabugho donated over 20 hoes to the community in Mahango sub-county to help in maintaining the already existing road. These hoes were delivered by the legislator and handed to the Local Council I Chairpersons from Nyamisule Parish.
