MP Nsibambi Criticises the Katonga road based FDC faction

Criticism against the FDC Based Katonga road faction led by the Acting president Haji Erias Lukwago continue to emerge as Mawokota South MP (Mpigi District) Yusuf also spokesperson Najjanankumbi FDC faction has described katonga road FDC factions as a groups of lairs who cannot be taken serious by FDC supporters based in Najjanankumbi FDC main Headquarters.

Recently, Forum for Democratic Change-FDC withdrew Kira Municipality Member of Parliament Ibrahim Semujju Nganda from the position of party chief whip in parliament and appointed Mawokota South MP, Yusuf Nsibambi to replace him however, the speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among objected a move by the Forum for Democratic Change Party to replace Ibrahim Ssemujju.

Nsibambi says this group of FDC faction is full of pride and are showing off to be seen by the public but there days are numbered.

He says as a lawyer is very surprised to see this group of FDC factions led by lord mayor Erias Lukwago driven by former FDC President Dr. Kizza Besigye undermining court directives not to conduct any delegates conference he adds that court can take action again this disobedience of the Katonga road based FDC.

On Tuesday September 19, 2023 a faction of FDC delegates based at Katonga road agreed to suspend the Party president Patrick Amuriat Oboi and replaced him with his deputy Elias Lukwago also City Mayor.

The defiant faction went on with delegates conference called by FDC party chairman Ambassador Wasswa Birigwa despite Police’s refusal to provide them with security and court order barring them from holding the conference.

The same faction also suspend FDC party secretary general Nathan Nandala Mafabi and party treasurer Geofrey Ekanya, and appointed Harold Kaija and Francis Mwijukye as Interim secretary general and party treasurer, replace Nathan Nandala Mafabi and Geoffrey Ekanya respectively.
