Mt. Camel Catholic Parish celebrates 47 years of existence

Monsignor Lawrence Ssemusu from Kampala Diocese has appreciated the Catholics of Mount Camel Catholic church Busega Parish for the appreciation they have expressed towards God for the achievements the parish has so far got reached to, and appealed to all people to always  appreciate when they make any achievements.

He noted this as he was leading a Thanksgiving service for Busega Parish for the making 47 years ever since the church was started at Mount Camel Catholic church in Busega.

In his sermon, representing the Archbishop of Kampala Diocese, Father Lawrence Ssemusu said many people waitg to get to big achievements for them to celebrate and thank God which he said is wrong saying, the lord is pleased with those who rejoice with the little he gives them, for him to give them more.

Father Ssemusu has as well challenged different church groups including couples, youth, choir good Samaritans etc, to check themselves and see if they move in line with what God wants them to do and if not, they should change before it’s too late for them to put things right.

He has commended the Lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago for enduring all the challenges he has gone through during his service as the Lord Mayor, and asked him to rejoice in the lord for the achievements he has made in the same office.

The chief guest Doctor Sarah nkonge has commended Busega Parish for the celebrations. However, she has challenged the church to make efforts to groom the boy child the same way they do to the girl child, so that they are raised as responsible citizens which will lead to reduction in immoral acts, that has these days led to increased DNA tests.

Lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago has commenced Busega Catholic Parish for the Peace and Justice system they instill in its members which has produced responsible citizens. He added that he is struggling to make ends meet to see roads in Kampala, siting Lubaga division being repaired, although it’s atag of war.

He has pledged to directly take part in busega ‘s 50 celebrations.

Makindye division Mayor Ali Kasirye Nganda Mulyannyama

Makindye division Mayor Ali Kasirye Nganda Mulyannyama has challenged his fellow leaders not to mix politics with serving people and never to use a lot of words but to serve the people who elected them as it is what they want from them.

Believers have offered gifts to the church such as soap, matooke, cooking oil, eggs, goats, umbrellas, sugar, etc. The Lord Mayor has gifted the church with a chair and agoat.

Among the guests who attended this function was the lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago, Lubaga division Mayor Mbeeraze, and his Deputy Rema Ffugge, business lady Nassolo Euginea, catholics from Busega Parish and different churches, councillors among others .
