Muhangi highly hopes for positive impact from newly appointed sports minister.
The Minister of state for sports in Uganda Hamson Obua has entered his day 3 of his task of serving the sports industry.
Yesterday he met up with sports bodies leader in the country to exchange Ideas on how they are going together in order to develop sports in the country.
Obua promised serve the entire sports fraternity despite his interest in Football The federation of Uganda Football Association president, Moses Magogo while speaking to the press after the meeting held at Cooper Chimney Lugogo yesterday 22nd February 2020.
Magogo said “This Meeting is very important to the entire sports house, he promised to held this meeting on quarterly basis which is very important to us because they have been reaching decisions concerning us with out our knowledge but the meeting will help us to what is about to happen before the made of decisions”
When Magogo asked about being much advantaged due to his friendship and Obuas’ Football interest he replied “Yes he is my personal friend and a friend to many in football it is not by a mistake we planed to make positive friend so I encourage other federations to adopt it making positive friends, Yes he loves football, he played football but I know Obua as a man of character as he said he is here to serve Sports not only football”
At the same event the Uganda Boxing federation president Moses Muhanji gave his take on the meeting and his expectations from Obua “he is just entering the office you have to give him a benefit of doubt, he promised to us the entire sports fraternity and I hope him to do so, for the meeting it has been a good initiate we have learn a much, he promised to help us to secure co-operate relationship it will be important, as he promised us to held this meeting on Quarterly we hope for positive impact. Obua is officially entering the sports minister office today.
