MUHANGI POINTED OUT WHY BOXING STILL GETTING LOW MONEY AS THE FEDERATION HELD 2023 AGM

During the  Uganda boxing federation annual general meeting which was held today at UMA, show room Lugogo.

Federation president, Moses Muhangi pointed out why his federation still getting little financial support from the government. Muhangi, said that because of their poor performance from the international level hindered their financial interest because  government cannot deal with boxing when there is rugby which is number one in Africa, athletics which is performing good at world level, netball which is number one in Africa and woodball which is second in the world, so as boxing family, we have pull our socks to improve the performance of our boxers who will perform well in the Africa and World level.

Muhangi, also pointed out on Judge’s performance who have improved from last year’s performance and argue to club coaches and fans to continue giving them confidence.

On the National team issue, he said that since the disappearing of the team that represented Uganda in the last Olympics games,in Japan, they have managed to build again a strong team where by each weight has two strong boxers who can represent the country.

Uganda boxing federation was represented by president Moses Muhangi, treasury, Richard Muhumuza, Secretary, Simon Barigo, vice president, Suleiman Kamoga, women representative Rosemary.

The annual general meeting was organised on the same day of the boxing champions league finals and delegates from different clubs attended the meeting.
