Munyagwa football fiesta 2019, this tournament is fully funded by Kawempe south MP Mubaraka Munyagwa Sserunga Mugati gwa batter with an aim of promoting talents and reducing on crime rate in the area.
The tournament started last month (July) with football which 25 teams participating and later netball which had more than 30 teams.
In football teams were grouped into 5 groups which had five teams each, the best three team in each group qualified for round of 16 knock out stages.
The final are set for Saturday 31st August 2019 at Katanga play grounds, Makerere Motor works FC and Kazinga Senene FC are the Teams to fight for sh3m prize money.
Makerere Kavule motor Works to reach the final defeated Katale all star in penalty kick 5-4 after drawing 0-0 in the 90 minutes.
Whereas, Kasinga Senene eliminated Kawala road 5-4 also in penalty kick after one one One One all draw in the Minutes. Makerere Kavule Motor Works was placed in group C along side Kubiri Select FC , Makerere III fc Nabweru Road FC and Industrial Area FC but Makerere managed to top the group with ten point s Kasinga Senene was in group D with Fire fire FC,Bwaise ii East FC ,Bwaise III FC , and Mulago FC but they topped the group also with 10 points.
Meanwhile, there netball fiesta finals before the kick off of the main finals which will see St Francis, Bwaise II, Katogo and Nabukulu also battling for 3m and a bull.
