40 netball teams have confirmed participation in the 2019 Munyagwa netball fiesta.
The ladies tournament was officially launched on Sunday 14th July at Kubiri play grounds, the tournament is expected kick off on Saturday 20th July and is scheduled to take place every Saturday and Sunday at different venues in Kawempe south constituency where the funder Mr. Munyagwa Mubarak Serunga is the area member of parliament.
All the 40 registered teams were given playing jerseys and balls to use during the course. Among the confirmed teams include; Wandegeya, Bwaise I, Bwaise II, Makerere Kavule among others.
There are many prizes to be won in cash and in kind.
Munyagwa who was flanked by fellow Member of parliament Hon. Kato Lubwama Lubaga south MP, emphasized the need to promote sports in the area as away of curbing down crime in addition to developing talents.
There was curtain raiser games in Wandegeya netball team emerged winners after beating Bwaise netball by 11-10 goals and were awarded with envelops.
