Muslims have been discriminated by the government, says Uganda Muslim Youth Brotherhood

Uganda Muslim Youth Brotherhood are out to fight Muslims discrimination by the government.

Friday February 7th 2020 Mwanje Saadi Mutesasira the Public relations officer of Uganda Muslim youth Brotherhood with other members have come out and rise a concern over the government discrimination against Muslim.

Mwanje while addressing media at a press conference held at Relax Guest House in Kabalagala this morning him and the chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood has claimed over Muslim missing in the top dignitary positions.

Mwanje said “We are greatly concerned about the fourth coming elections where we come together to ensure that Muslims are treated well like other Citizens, Muslims has been left behind and almost Irrelevant in Uganda which has graduated into continuous torture, arrests and Inhuman treatment against Muslim,we will only support potential candidates who is ready to sort the long pending Muslims problems, some one who will stop back benching Muslims when it comes to decide on top 3 position in the government (Vice President, Prime Minister and Speaker of parliament) some one who is ready to all Muslims that arrested and being detained illegally.

Mwanje further released Uganda Muslims youth brotherhood intentions to boycott the incoming elections if the don’t get a qualified candidate who will fulfill the mentioned problems “If do not find suitable candidate we will boycott the elections, we will spread the gospel to all 17.7 Millions of Muslims is the country. Though the government indicates that we are only 12.1% of the national population as per 2014, I am assuring the public that we are 44%, therefore it gives us and to decide who will be the next President of Uganda

” The Chairman of the Brotherhood Suudi Ssentongo Ssegawa has alerted that this country is a Muslim based nation. “We all know that Islam was the first religion in Uganda and we will not accept the this ongoing discrimination to continue.

” According to the their statement, during the 34 years of the President museveni’s leadership no Muslim has ever named as either Vices president, Prime Minister, Speaker of parliament, or executive director of any authority.
