Mutima Clan Commend Son Katikkiro Peter Mayiga’s 10 years Service with Ddamula “As The Buganda Kingdom Premier”

As more people continue to appreciate the work of the Buganda Prime minister Owek Charles Peter Mayiga for serving in this office for 10 years now, the Mutima Clan where Owek Charles Peter Mayiga belongs have on Friday 14th/07/2023, visited him to add their voice on other people who have been appreciating his work since he made 10 years 0n 29/05/2013.

The Mutima clan chief Omutaka Namugera Kakeeto Nicholas Kasekende, has expressed his gratitude towards the Kabaka of Buganda for choosing a leader from the Mutima clan to serve as the Katikkiro saying, it will forever be remembered in their clan. And commended the Katikkiro for the great service which has highly honored the Mutima Clan.

He has added that the Katikkiro has restored the Kingdom’s respect from Uganda at large, encouraged people to work, has promoted unity among kabaka’s subjects among others.

In his meeting with the Mutima Clan in Bulange Mengo, Owek Charles Peter Mayiga has extended gratitude towards the Kabaka of Buganda his Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the second for entrusting him with the office of the Katikkiro to serve the Kingdom.

He said that it’s his pressure to see that the Kabaka has given him space to maintain this office for the period of 10 years which to him, is an implication that the Kabaka appreciates his work.

However, he commended the Mutima clan for working together with him to see things moving on well during his service throughout the challenges he has encountered, and appealed to them to continue supporting him as it is not an easy task.

As away of promoting development in their respective clans of Buganda Kingdom, Owek Mayiga has also encouraged them to engage themselves in development activities as a clan but not to wait for their clan leaders to initiate development in their clans.

The Mutima clan have donated a Portrait to the Katikkiro as a salvinia from his Mutima clan, so that every time he looks at it while in office is reminded of togetherness.

This meeting has as well been attended by the leader of the Mutima Clan premier mr. Luberenga Yowana Maria Bajjabayira among other Clan respected dignitaries.
