The Uganda Athletics Federation has listed 21 Athletes to represent Uganda at the World Athletics Championships between August 19 and 27 August 2023 in Budapest, Hungary.
The team of nine women and 12 men has World 10,000m defending Champion Joshua Cheptegei Kiprui chasing a double of 10,000m and 5,000m with Jacob Kiplimo. On the side of the women, Chelangat Sarah will attempting this feat.
The team has a sprinter in Orogot Gracious Tarsis, who comfortably qualified in the men’s 200m after excellent form in the USA.
Another new face in the team is Dradiga Tom, who makes his debut at the prestigious World Championships after qualifying in the 800m.

Oding Quinto will act as the team Physiotherapist, Chelangat Peter will be the Safe guarding officer, and Chesang Grace will be the Team Chaperone.
