Nansana Municipality Enumerators take oath(Joyce Namugambe Thursday May 9th)

As the country gets close to the Housing population census due to start on 19/05/2024, Nansana Judicial officer Eriokot Joyce Esther has challenged the Enumerators who are to conduct the population census to carefully handle the information and secrets provided by the people during the process, since they are to be punished for mishandling this information.

She noted this as she was leading the swearing in process for the Enumerators who are to work with the Uganda Bureau of statistics in conducting the census in Nansana Municipality which took place at St. Joseph Primary school in Nansana.

She warned them to listen and keep the people’s secrets carefully since they are going to provide alot of private information about themselves.

According to the head of population census in Nansana Municipality Sam Miiro, they have trained a total number of 1800 people to conduct the census in Nansana Municipality.

The Uganda bureau of statistics revealed that it has given enough trainings to the people who are going to conduct the census and appealed to the supervisors in all areas where the digital tablets are to be sent to critically monitor them to avoid mistakes.

The national population and housing census 2024 is to take place starting the night of Thursday 09/05/2024 and end on Sunday 19th/05/2024.
