Following successive defeats by conceding 6 and scoring none, Gomba has mutually consented to part way with coach Frank Mulindwa.

With immediate effect Gomba decided to fill the vacancy with Coach Nasib Mukasa.

“We have parted ways with head coach Frank Mulindwa” the team statement noted.

Despite the statement from the management, coach Frank Mulindwa insists he has resigned following a number of factors transpired at the job.

“I have resigned from my role as head coach of Gomba Ssaza after a number of factors” Mulindwa revealed on Wednesday, 10th July 2024.

Mulindwa who did not appear for the Wednesday training session at Kabulasoke PTC playground cites interference from top officials and uncleared arrears as well as allowances among other factors for his resignation.

The new gaffer, Nasib Mukasa will work with William Kyeswa as his assistant while Gomba Richard Makumbi take charge as head of technical team after replacing Edward Golola.

Under the charges of Mulindwa Gomba got defeated at home 2-0 by Kyaggwe on matchday one and facing humiliation against Ssingo in a 4-0 loss on matchday two at Mityana.

Mukasa is to walk in with an immediate task of getting things back on track and has just three days to fix the team and face Mawogola away this coming Sunday 14 July 2024.

Gomba is the record champion of Airtel Masaza cup with 5 trophies and the last trophy came in 2021 while they lost at last year’s final to Bulemeezi.
