In a letter dated 27th July 2019, the uganda netball Federation through president Anek Suzan Ongom welcomed back all officials , players and supporters who moved with the she cranes to vitality netball world cup in Liverpool that concluded this month.
“It’s health for all media personnels and houses to get official communication from the authorised authorities for the betterment of the game, “Anek penned. The she cranes opened up this year’s world cup with the game against England Roses which we suffered a heavy defeat before the she cranes bounced back with two wins against Samoa and Scotland but suffered another defeat against South Africa before the team recovered the above deficits against Trinidad and Tobego. The she cranes versed Malawi in a chest to chest game but suffered another loss before the played Zimbabwe for the battle of seventh and eighth spots safe for 2023 world cup. The she cranes came back in mute mode to state house though it gathered some results but before it set off to Liverpool, many questions were left unanswered and lacking. Due to the above reason, it may be anticipated to the reasons why the president came out with such a press release to curb down all media personnels who may want to get exclusives from players and officials. It should be noted that “afande” Mutete was named the media personnel of the team but he has since failed to be on the same page with the media.
