New Buganda Kingdom Cabinet ministers’ confirm their commitment

After the new cabinet ministers in Buganda Kingdom pledged their commitment before the King His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the II, they are now fully set to fulfilll the duties as they have been assigned.

Some of them are very new in the cabinet while others have already been ministers, only that they have been retained and  given new duties and responsibilities to fulfil. This is what they had to say about their new calling.

The minister of culture, palace and security Owek Anthony Wamala says he has come to work to prove the king that he is committed to serve and fulfill his responsibilities. He adds that among the things he is committed to work upon, is how people use Luganda language through encouraging people especially parents to groom their children loving and knowing their native languages.

The Kingdom spokesperson Owek Israel Kazibwe Kitooke says that since he has served as amember of the Nkobazambogo, he is calling upon Nkobazambogo members to join hands and work together with him during this service. He adds that he is to use this office to find opportunities for them as away of rising the Nkobazambogo flag.

Owek Noah Kiyimba who was serving as the Kingdom spokesperson, now appointed as the minister of cabinet and visitors in the office of the Katikkiro, commends the Buganda  press team for the cooperation during his service and asks them to do the same with his successor for the good of the kingdom. He pledges to fully execute the duties in the new office where he has been appointed.

Owek Hajati Mariam Mayanja who retained the office as the minister of tourism, water and environment appeals to the young ministers who have joined the cabinet take good example of the aged and long serving ministers to emulate their work, as they have not disappointed the king during their calling.

The kingdom Antony General Owek Christopher Bwanika says its a great feeling to serve the king, and now that the country is totally free from Covid 19, they are ready to fulfil all the duties as specified to them by His Majesty without limitations, responding to His call especially which he made during His speech on the 30th coronation.

The minister for land and buildings Owek David Mpanga Kisitu notes that he is starting by encouraging good relationship between Namulondo investments and the people of Buganda so that they can easily access information about Buganda’s land and buildings, to make sure that the Kingdom puts an end on the land conflicts that come up day after day. He appeals to people working from outside Uganda to make sure that they buy the land through the right procedures, and acquire right documents, so that by the time they return to Uganda, they can find their land safe.
