Three Ugandan FIFA Referees have received their equipment at a function held in Mengo at FUFA House on Wednesday morning.
The new referees on the FIFA list are Diana Murungi from Kitara Region , Florence Ayaro from North East and Kenneth Kawagga a Beach Soccer Referee.
The referees were accompanied to the function by FUFA Referees Manager Samuel Egessa
While handing over the equipment, the Chairman Uganda Football Referees Association (UFRA) Ronnie Kalema cautioned the referees to put the equipment to proper use because not every referee has the privilege to such items.
Kalema also noted that the trio brings a total of Ugandan FIFA Referees to twenty two (22) and therefore had to receive their equipment from FIFA for use while officiating matches.
‘You need to put the equipment to proper use because your are amongst the few chosen ones in Uganda. We now have 22 international referees’ said Kalema
The equipment was handed over to the referees by FUFA 2nd Vice President Darius Mugoye, Executive Members Rogers Byamukama and Ronnie Kalema.
