Nile Star Bus caught fire, properties worth millions destroyed along the Karuma-Pakwach highway

“A bus owned by Nile Star Bus Company, Reg. No UBF 003Y, caught fire this morning, February 14, 2024, at Latoro along the Pakwach-Karuma highway in Nwoya District while en route to Kampala.

Fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated according Uganda police.

However, the bus was completely burnt and passengers’ properties worth millions of shillings were destroyed.

Meanwhile the Nwoya Territorial Traffic Police have commenced an investigation into the incident to determine the probable cause.
