Nkobeza, Kyobe Receive their 2022 African Boxing Championship money from IBA

It’s six month since two bombers boxers, won bronze in the African Boxing Championship, which was held in Maputo, Mozambique, in September, 2022.

Yusufu Nkobeza, won bronze medal in middle weight whereas Jonah Kyobe also won bronze medal in featherweight, both boxers had to get US dollar 2,500[Uganda shs 9,000,000] each from the organiser “International Boxing Association[IBA]” as a prize money for the tournament winners but the money was not released to the winners until today, when UBF president Moses Muhangi, unveiled the prize money of 9,000,000 shillings to each boxer.

They were some speculation that the money will not come until the president proved them wrong, at the function which was held today Thursday 2 March 2023 at katikati restaurant ,lugogo.

Also on the menu, was Teddy Nakimuli, a female boxer who won bronze in the just concluded Commonwealth Games, got 1,000,000shs from the UBF president, the money he promised to give to each medal winner.
