URA FC have unveiled Brian Nkuubi as their latest signing.
Nkuubi joins the Tax Collectors as a free agent after he was released by Vipers SC a couple of months ago.
The midfielder has signed a three-year deal with Sam Simbwa’s side who finished 5th last season.
Speaking to URAFC.com, Nkuubi noted that he expects stiff competition for places at URA and he is certain the club can help him continue progressing.
“I’ve seen a lot of good players at URA FC and I expect competition for positions. He noted as quoted by the club’s official website.
“I have enough experience and I feel I can add a lot to the club in the coming season.
“I want to continue playing at a high level and compete with the best on the title and the club seems on the right path to provide that.
“This will give me more exposure as a player. The fans should expect hard work from me.”
Nkuubi has been on the hunt for a club after he was one of 13 players released by the Venoms in June.
He joined the Kitende based side in 2015 from now defunct Kira Young before helping them win two league titles.
At URA FC, Nkuubi joins Davis Ssali, Arafat Galiwango, Jackson Nunda and Hannington Sebwalunyo as the new players that have come in ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Speaking about Nkuubi’s arrival, URA FC head coach Sam Simbwa noted that the midfielder has developed a lot at Vipers and he will offer the Tax Collectors, a lot going forward.
“He is a player that has developed a lot during his time with Vipers SC in terms of responsibilities on the pitch, he will offer us a lot going forward and will prove key to our attack.” Ssimbwa said.
