Butabika hospital has recorded no covid patients since the out break of the pandemic in march this year.
This has been said by the acting executive director of Butabika hspt Dr Juliet Naku while appearing before the parliamentary public Accounts committee to give account on the management of covid in the hspt.
However she said that the hspt faced a challenge of increased number of patients in the hspt causing congestion in the hspt since they couldn’t discharge patients due to the lockdown and difficulties in transportation.
She adds that this also affected the bed capacity in the hspt being that the hspt is meant to hold 500 beds but noe they receive over 900 patients per day.
