NRM PARTY POSTPONES MAWOGOLA WEST PARTY ELECTIONS TILL FURTHER NOTES.

The NRM ruling party has postponed elections of party primaries in Mawogola west Ssembabule district which had scheduled to take place tomorrow Friday.
The declaration has made by party electoral commission boss Dr Tanga Odoi at party electoral commission headquarter Kyadondo Kampala saying this has been done due to conflicts and disagreements between party giants Joseph Ssekabiito and Hanifah Kawooyo both seeking for Mawogola west member of parliament.
“We have postponed Mawogola west NRM party primaries till further notes due to conflicts between Joseph Ssekabiito and Hanifah Kawooya, but the rest of elections will continue as had scheduled before, he added”.
Hanifah Kawooya and Joseph Ssekabiito both of them are in race of NRM party primaries seeking for Mawogola west legislator but each party insists to cause violence to each other.
Hanifah Kawooya petitioned to NRM party electoral commission boss Dr Tanga Odoi seeking for solution before elections take place which forced Dr Tanga Odoi to call both parties at party Electoral commission headquarter to handle the situation.
Tanga says that, they are likely to also postpone other elections in some parts of the country where violence also takes place like Hoima, Kyenjojo, Rwampara, Tororo, Isingiro, Butalejja among others depending on the situation.
“elections of Mawogola west have been postponed due to conflicts and violence that are continuously exist, and another date will be communicated, but the rest of elections will continue, Tanga said”.
Tanga also highlighted on voter’s register saying only members in the register will be considered to vote, but other members who are not in the register will also be allowed to vote with the verification of party village chairpersons and other members concerned.
“in accordance of article (14) of party constitution, the party chairman Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, ordered to also allow party members which are not in the register to vote after verification that they are also party members, he added”.
Tanga also warned RDCs, DPCs, DISOs among other security personnel not to escort and give security to candidates with an aim of intimidating others who are also in race saying some security officers are biased with other candidates who sometimes want to decide the winner and loser which is wrong and illegal.
