The Secretary General of NRM, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong has today Tuesday paid a courtesy call to the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere at his office in Rubaga.

The two principals had a wonderful discussion on how the church and the party in government can cooperate in serving the people of Kampala and Uganda at large, Mr Todwong said as he briefed the media after a private meeting.

“Like we have always been saying, the church and government always work together to improve the livelihood of our people. The church is open to guide us as leaders in terms of how we can attend to the vulnerable people and members of the community,” SG Todwong said.

He conveyed greetings of His Excellency the President and Chairman of the party and all members of the NRM to the Archbishop.

“The church stands for the truth and we pledge to keep truthful in our service,” he said.

His Grace Archbishop Semogerere welcomed the Secretary-General saying, “We got a good moment of sharing on different issues. It has been a courtesy call and a rare moment for the two of us. We also shared about our faith and offered blessings.”

SG Todwong was accompanied by the Rubaga Deputy RCC, Anderson Burora.
