The chairman National Resistance Movement (NRM) Kampala also NRM’s Kampala central mayor aspirant Salim Uhuru Nsubuga has tipped NRM party officials to win opposition overwhelmingly specifically in Kampala saying security organs should execute their work professionally and non partisan.

The angry Salim Uhuru Nsubuga over the acts of police to oppositions reveals that, police have several times seen teargassing, hindering and intercepting oppositions to hold their meetings and sometimes processions under standard operating procedures (SOPs) which gives police bad image to opposition and internationally.
“I call upon police, other security organs and minister for security to let oppositions do and hold their political and electoral activities under the observation of SOPs as the ruling NRM party does to enable them also acquiring security organs services equally and compete favorably,” he said.

Uhuru also disclosed that, partisan acts of police will lead oppositions to complain over their loss who will say they were not given chances and rights to conduct their political events and access electorates by police due to covid 19 pandemic while the ruling NRM party members/ candidates held theirs freely.

Salim Uhuru is NRM’s Kampala central division mayor aspirant who always fight to get Kampala city back in hands of NRM politically which has been for a long dominated by opposition whereby currently, top political elected positions in Kampala are dominated by oppositions such as Kampala lord mayor seat is dominated by DPs Al Haji Ssalongo Erias Lukwago present day member of Forum for democratic change (FDC), Lubaga north MP seat is also dominated by former DP Moses Kasibante present day independent, Lubaga South parliamentary seat is also dominated by DPs Kato Lubwama, Makindye west also dominated by former DP Allan Ssewanya present day NUP flag bearer, Makindye East is being held by FDCs Ibrahim Kasozi among others including Kampala division mayoral positions say Lubaga, Kawempe, Makindye, Central and Nakawa which Uhuru is fighting for NRM to take over these seats in the forthcoming general elections 2021.
” I have a master plan to be used for NRM to take these seats to ensure transformation and sustainable development of Kampala city,” he added.

On the issue of party members who lost in primaries but came back as independents and currently ask for money to get out of the race, Uhuru also commented on this matter saying, these people have no party spirit to ask for money as compensation yet no body sent them to contest, however Uhuru agrees that, there were some few members who were rigged during party primaries intentionally but advises them to step down and leave flag bearers to continue with the race.
“These NRM party independent leanings will lead the party to lose due to the fact that votes will be divided which gives oppositions high chances to take over, therefore i urge all this category of people to leave the race instantly because its not the party which sent them into politics,” he added.
