The National Unity Platform (NUP) head of head of mobilization Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu graduated with a masters in peace and conflict studies today Friday 2nd February 2023 at Makerere university during its 74th Graduation Ceremony.
Nyanzi the 2021 Kampala Central Member of Parliament aspirant has joined the wagon of Doctors in the field of Peace and human rights corner.
The NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has said many people branded them as hooligans. Such academic achievements are redefining what ‘hooligans’ can do.
Kyagulanyi however have encouraged other party members to also continue seeking education for the bright feature.
Similarly, in the same Makerere graduation week, Richard Ssebuganda, graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Medical Sciences.
Ssebuganda is remembered on 8th February, 2022 while he was in his bed reading in Lumumba hall, the teargas canister went off, bounced upward and hit his right hand, cutting off four fingers and the large part of his palm this made him to loose the whole academic year as he went through over eight surgeries.
The same graduation, Shamim Nambassa the former guild president of Makerere university 2021- 2022 on Nup ticket graduated with Bachelor Degree in pharmacy.
In the beat of cherry, Alionzi Lawrence (Dangote) also graduated with “Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering of Makerere University (Second Class Upper – Honors).
