President Yoweri Museveni has extended Ofwono Opondo’s contract as the Uganda Media Centre executive director for three more years, until 2022.
Opondo was first appointed the head of Uganda Media Centre in May 2013, replacing Fred Opolot on a three years contract being deputized by former army spokesman, Lt. Col. Shaban Bantariza. He was later on in November 2016, reappointed as the executive director for another three years ending 2019.
