OVER 30 BOUTS ON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL DAY AS MUHANGI LAUNCHED WINNER’S BELTS

Uganda boxing presidential, Moses Muhangi today unveiled Champions League belts to be given to whoever come out as winner on the final day of the Champions League on 26, December at UMA, Lugogo.

The launch was held at copper chimney, Lugogo with officials from Next media represented by programs manager, Grace Mbabazi, official from Sting .

Every winner in different weight will walk away with belt  and he will automatic become a National bomber member who will be prepared for the Olympic qualifiers.

Over 30 bouts are expected on the final day with Ukasha Matovu vs Kibira Owen in Welterweight, Kassim Mulungi vs Jonah Kyobe in feather weight , Rasikal vs Joshua Tukamuhebwa are anti-expecting by fans.

This will be the second season of the boxing Champions League format which was introduced by president, Moses Muhangi.

The first edition, which came to an end on 26,December, 2022 at akamwesi mall saw ,Ukasha Matovu, Joshua Tukamuhebwa, Onen Jaffar, Isaac Ssenyange came out as winners in different weights.

According to Muhangi, this second edition was more good compared to the first edition where boxers ,didn’t know what to do.

Jonah Kyobe, the former African boxing championship bronze medalist, said this time,he has no time to waste on the school boy,Kassim Mulungi who defeated him on the last encounter, which he said was a controversial judgement.

Apart from the actions from boxers, entertainment from different music artists will be on the menu.
