Owek. Ssekabembe handed over office to the new Kingdom minister of youth, sports

The former minister of youth and sports in Buganda Kingdom Owek Henry Ssekabembe Kiberu, has handed over office to the new minister Owek Robert Serwanga Ssalongo to take over from where he stopped.

It was on  1/08/2023 when the Kabaka of Buganda made reshuffles in His cabinent, and replaced Owek Henry Ssekabembe Kiberu with Owek Robert Serwanga Salongo as the new minister of the youth and sports in the kingdom.

While handing over the office at bulange mengo, Owek Ssekabembe has  as well handed over 13 documents to the new minister which highlights the running of the youth groups in buganda kingdom, noting Nkobazambogo and ssuubi lya Buganda which is aimed at bringing together Buganda youth from schools and institutions.

Other documents include plans and preparations for the Buganda youth App, where Buganda youth are to be checked on their compitence to find means of getting them jobs, and the Buganda data base which will help to know the details of the youth in the kingdom and their way abouts.

He has encouraged his successor, Owek. Robert Sserwanga to make sure that he puts whatever is in the documents into consideration, especially those which were signed by His Majesty the king.

Owek. Ssekabembe has also commended the King for giving him chance to serve the his kingdom, and appealed to people of Buganda to continue supporting the kingdom, and the ministry of sports as well.

The new minister of sports Youth and Talents Owek Robert Sserwanga Salongo has pledged to work together with everyone in the kingdom for a good service. And appealed to the youth to make sure that they they get good qualifications sothat they can mantain their jobs.

He pledged to work hard to help the youth in the kingdom especially those outside school, through finding means of getting them job opportunities sothat they can change their lives and the kingdom at large.

On behalf of the youth chairmen, youth groups, and committees in the ministry, the chairman for the clan tournaments  Haji Magala Suleiman  pledged to work together with the new minister just as they have been working together with Owek Henry Ssekabembe Kiberu.

Owek Ssekabembe has handed over office after 10 years, and this is the time when the ministry of sports has progressed in different games and activities such as clan soccer, wrestling, Masaza cup, Golf, volley ball among others.
