PM. Nabbanja, Ministers Farmers Mobilization, Education and Service Delivery campaign head to greater Masaka

After a successful Farmers Mobilization, Education, Value-Addition and Service Delivery campaign in greater Mubende two weeks ago, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja and Hon. Ministers have taken this crusade to greater Luwero.

The Ministers and NRM leaders, who have accompanied the Prime Minister to Nakaseke district today for this campaign include Rt. Hon. Rose Namayanja, the Deputy NRM Secretary General, Hon Muruli Mukasa, the Minister for Public Service, Hon. Judith Nabakooba, the Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development and Hon. Haruna Kasolo, the Minister of State for Microfinance.

Others are Hon. Fred Bwino, the Minister of State for Agriculture, Hon. Alice Kaboyo, the Minister of State for Luwero-Rwenzori, Hon. Beatrice Akello, the Minister of State for Economic Monitoring, Hon. Aisha Sekindi, the Minister of State for Water and Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda SSuubi, the NRM Vice Chairperson for Central Region.

The campaign includes agricultural expos and health camps. Several players in the agricultural sector including agro-input and agricultural machinery dealers, model farmers, and agro-processing specialists, are showcasing the latest technologies and products at the expo in Nakaseke. Health experts are screening and treating people with various ailments. This crusade is designed to facilitate the implementation of H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s six policy proposals to develop the agricultural sector.

They include production, multiplication, distribution and certification of seeds and stocking materials; disease control; agricultural mechanization and irrigation; farmer education and mobilization; partnerships with big land owners and interventions in the fisheries sector.

The campaign is organised by the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries.
