Police advises schools to invest in security to protect learners

As children officially return to schools for third term today, Police have suggested to the learning institutions to invest more in security to protect the students.

This is under the safety tips issued by the police to school administration, parents and students themselves.

According to the safety tips, Police believes that schools should hire gazatted security operatives to guard the schools and also prohibit children from entering the gates with items that can cause danger to others like glass bottles, smart phones, alcohol, narcotic drugs and electric gadgets among others.

To parents, Police advices them to restrict children to none negotiable home rules that could deter them from joining gangs where they mostly get spoil.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson says that with these safety tips once fully implemented, there will be no threats against children both at boarding and day schools in this term.
