Police FC came from a goal down to defeat newcomers Wakiso Giants FC 2-1 in the Uganda Premier League on Tuesday afternoon.

Viane Sekajugo gave the visitors a first half lead but Police rallied through Ben Ocen and Pius Kagwe so as to turn the game on its head and register a rare victory.

Wakiso started the game brightly with Muwadda Mawejje rattling the cross bar inside the first 15 minutes.

Kefa Kisala’s side upped the tempo and would soon be rewarded 17 minutes into the contest with Sekajugo finishing off Hassan Ssenyonjo’s pass.

After the goal, the game looked to have settled down with Police taking the initiative, controlling tge flow.

Despite having the lion share of possession, the Cops had to wait until the 72nd minute to level matters through Ocen.

The game looked to be headed for a draw until Pius Kaggwa pounced with Police’s second of the day with just a minute on the clock.

Police created the better chances on the night with Hood Kaweesa, Kaggwa and Yusuf Ssozi all failing to find the beck of the net.

The result means Police move onto 5 points but remain second from bottom.

The Purple Sharks also remain 8th with 13 points from 10 games.
