The territorial police in Mityana have recovered Kayima Emmanuel 5yr old male juvenile that had been kidnapped by unidentified person.
Preliminary findings indicate that on 15/06/2023 at around 1600hrs at Kinvuunikide Cell,Busimbi division in Mityana district the victim was waylaid on his way from school, kidnapped and taken to unknown place. Later the kidnappers demanded for ransom of 100,000,000 from the parents.
Today 21st day of June 2023 at about 9:30am we received information that child had been sighted locked up in an abandoned house belonging to Sengozi Vincent in Kinvuunikide village Busimbi division Mityana district . we immediately responded to the scene. We broke into the room that had been locked with padlock and rescued the victim.
We have recovered clothes belonging to the kidnappers . Victim has been recovered alive and has been taken to mityana hospital for medical examination.
The victim has been reunited with his parents. Efforts are still on to have the prime suspect apprehended for prosecution.
