Real stars monthly sports awards set for Tuesday next week

Every, Fortbet real stars awards, this an initiative that crowns the best sports personalities on a monthly basis, from each sports discipline that had activities in certain month and this time, 6 sports discipline will be considered for the month of February, the awarding ceremony will be held on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at Lugogo.

The sports discipline include, football, basketball,  badminton, rugby, rally and athletics.

In badminton, three nominees were nominated , Fadilah Shamika, Husina Kobugabe and Brian Kasirye, with Fadilah, being the favourite for wining this award after collecting gold in African badminton championship in South Africa.

In football,  three nominees, which include, Rogers Mugisha, Patrick Katumba and Derrick Ochan, with Rogers Mugisha, being the favourite to win this award for his good performance at the ongoing AFCON U-20 championship in Egypt .

In rally, three crews nominated, which include, Yassin Nasser, Ali Katumba crews, and Ronald Ssebuguzi, Mugambwa crew and Duncan Mubiru, Bongole crew, where Yassin Nasser, Katumba crew being the favourite to win the award, as they won the first NRC round in Mbarara.

In athletics, three nominees which include, Jacob Kiplimo, Joshua Cheptegei and Doreen Chesang, with Jacob Kiplimo, being the favourite to winning this award, after winning gold medal in World Cross Country marathon.

In Rugby, three nominees were nominated, which include, Pius Ogena, Karim Arinaitwe, Aaron Ofoyrwoth, with Aaron Ofoyrwoth, being the favourite for wining this award.

And in basketball,  three nominees, which include, Otto Jones, Brenda Ekone and Maria Najjuma, for their good performance in 3X3, which was held here in Uganda.

The awarding will be done on Tuesday.
