The Parish priest of St. Paul Namuyenje, Nasuuti Archdeaconry in Mukono Diocese, Rev Ivan Kiberu arged the church to embrace music within the church since it has the power to uplift the spirit.
He mentioned this during St. Paul Namuyenje Church Choir Easter celebrations service with Joyful Carols.
Rev. Kiberu noted that music has the power to uplift the spirit, strengthen faith and forge connections with the Lord and arged the church to make good use of it.
St. Paul Namuyenje Church choir, nestled in the heart of Mukono Diocese, ushered in the Easter season with resounding carols as their voices echoed through the sanctuary, filling the air with melodies of praise and celebration.
During this uplifting service, the choir rallied together and raised over 8 million Ugandan shillings to support their ministry. This incredible feat showcases not only dedication to their craft but also the generosity of their congregation.
The choir Leader, Mrs Racheal Kakayi extended a warm invitation to many friends and supporters, including a choir from Ssenyi Church in Ssi Parish, Uganda. These cherished guests added to the joyful atmosphere, lending their voices to the chorus of praise.
As the echoes of their harmonies fade into the evening, the St. Paul Namuyenje Church Choir stands united, their spirits lifted, and their ministry fortified by the generous support of their congregation and the shared love of music.
