SC Villa defeated Bright Stars by a 1-0 score in the Startimes Uganda Premier league on their return to Wankulukuku Stadium as they stretched their top of the lead to a four points gap.
Charles Bbaale scored the lone goal in the 72nd minute to guide on form SC Villa to a comfortable 40 points lead as they sit on top of the log with four points above second placed KCCA FC.
The joogos have now extended their unbeaten run to ten games which has seen them win their last five league games consecutively as their last league los came in the month of November 2022 as they lost to Vipers SC by a 2-0 score in Kitende.
The Jackson Magera coached side has now turned into tittle contenders despite playing three games more than second placed KCCA FC.
