Left Back John Adriko joins Mbarara City FC from Sports Club Villa.
Adriko who rejoined record champions last season from big league side Kitara FC where had gone after the departure of former SC Villa chairman Eng. Misagga, can also play in Central Defense as well as central midfield.
The Gulu University graduate, first joined SC Villa in 2016 and has also played for Ssese in Masaza cup.
Adriko has joined the likes of Gaddafi Gadinho, Solomon Okwalinga and Bashir Muweesi who also joined the Ankole Lions this summer transfer window
The Ankole Lions will be targeting a better league place after finishing 5th last season with 46 points.
Meanwhile, Mbarara City FC were 2-0 winners over Kabale Sharp in a friendly game held at Kabale Municipal stadium, where Striker Paul Mucureezi started the game as Captain, his first time ever since joining Mbarara City FC last year. He broke the deadlock in the 49th minute before Stephen Kabuye notched in the 2nd, 9 minutes to Full Time to hand the visitors Mbarara City FC a 2-0 win.
Mucureezi and Goal Keeper Tom Ikara started their footballing Career in Kabale while students at Kigezi High School.
