Seroma Christian High School ready to host the 3rd USSSA Swimming gala, 15 schools confirmed participation

Inside the week to held the third edition of the USSSA Swimming gala, 15 schools have so far confirmed participation in the Championship.

Seroma Christian High School Mukono will be the host of the 3rd USSSA swimming gala on July 27th, 2024. Elite High School and Greenhill Academy were hosts to the 1st and 2nd editions in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

Seroma CHS was one of two schools that bid to host the event in 2023. Janan SS, Bombo was the other school to bid but after inspection and a presentation to the USSSA Executive Committee Seroma was selected to host.

The final inspection led by Muhumuza Richard, USSSA Executive committee member alongside Kaskaya Emmanuel, USSSA Competitions director, and Eric Kisero the Chairperson of the USSSA Swimming Technical Commission ascertained that Seroma has all facilities in place and is simply waiting for the day to roll the dice.

“We are ready to welcome all the swimmers and participants to our school on 27th July.Everything has been organized from the swimming area to refreshments”. Games teacher, Seroma CHS.

“We as Seroma have a team that is ready to compete. They have prepared very well and are ready to win.See you in Kyetume”. Added Senyu.

During the 2nd USSSA National Swimming championship, British School of Kampala tallied the most points (434) to win the girls’ trophy while hosts Green Hill Academy had (412) points and Elite High School, Entebbe with 298 points.

Aga Khan High School championed the boys’ category with 390 points ahead of Green Hill Academy (381) and Seeta Green Campus (291). For the combined team scores; Green Hill Academy came top with 867 points with Aga Khan High School coming second with 719 and British School of Kampala (682) was third.

The defending champions British School Kampala Rafters are ready to retain their title at the national Swimming championships that will take place this Saturday.

The USSSA Swimming gala got off the mark in 2022 and Elite high school Entebbe hosted the opening edition.
