Shafiq Kiwanuka (UGA) Vs Thamsang Dube (Zimbabwe
President Salim Uhuru, IUEA director Hassan Alwi who also acts as Kiwanuka’s main sponsor attended the official launch of the fight on Tuesday 17th Septeber 2019 morning at IUEA Kansanga.
Uhuru told the press that the commission will ensure that the fight is professionally organized and ends successfully.
Kiwanuka also assured his fans victory on what is expected to be a glamorous fight
“I have prepared well for this fight, my opponent has a great record but i am not scared.” I therefore call upon my fellow Ugandans to come and support me as i rise our country’s flag.” Said Kiwanuka.
Kiwanuka has two professional fights to his name, winning Kenyan David Kamara and Congolese Tyson Mbikayi both by knockout.
His opponent, Thamsang has 15 fights, won 12 with 7 knockouts and only lost three fights.
