A boy identified as Sharif Aclomat aged 16, a son of one of the UPDF soldier Paul Ojambo based at Mbuya barracks, has been murdered on his way back home on Wednesday 13 September 2023 night.

The murder took place at Namaliga village in Bombo where he was living with his mother Janet Kalungi and surprisingly, the murderers did not take anything from him.

According to the deceased’s body, the murder must have been done by pangas as he was found with cut wounds on the head and his hands were found broken with heavy bleeding which damages must have led to his death. Then his body was thrown in the middle of the road.

This murder continues to raise questions among the area residents wondering the group which is involved in this act since Sharif is the fourth to be murdered in a similar manner within the same period of time, in the same area. They have urged police to put in more efforts to find out who these people are and as well arrest them so that it saves residents from the fear.

The mother of the deceased noted that she separated with him in the evening of 13/09/2023 and he left for a nearby town, but she waited for him to return but in vain. Police from bombo led by OC Annet Tumusiime came with police dogs to follow up the suspects but unfortunately the residents had already covered the body which denied the dog chance to do its work.

She warned residents against the act of getting close to the crime scenes as it obstructs police from following the suspects and urges them to always engage police before getting close to such scenes.

The area councilor Ahmed Siraje has shown concern over the increasing rate of murder in the area and urged residents to keep safe through avoiding to move late night hours which gives chance to murders to do their evil acts.

The police took the body to the City mortuary in mulago as investigations start.
