VP Ssekandi had launched Koica-Inclusive Business Solution Programme at Kabanyolo
Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has said that government welcomes every innovation and research aimed at boosting the productivity of both crop and animal husbandry since the 90% of the people are directly or indirectly earning from the agricultural sector.
Speaking at the Makerere University Research Institute in Kabanyolo, in wakiso district during the launching of the Koica Inclusive Business Solution Programme (ISB), the Vice President said increasing the productivity and commercialisation of the agricultural sector are critical drivers of poverty eradication especially in rural areas.
This programme that being funded by Koica, Makerere University, Chonbuk National University, Eagle Vet Ug Ltd and Shinhan A-Tec company is aimed at establishing a business model linking agriculture and Livestock farming and increasing farmers’ incomes by strengthening farmer capacity.
