St Kizito Minor Seminary celebrates 22 years of existence.

St. Kizito Minor Seminary, Nandere has today (Saturday, August 12, 2023) celebrated 22 years of existence.

The ceremony started with Holy Mass led by Rt. Rev. Lawrence Mukasa, the Bishop of Kasana-Luweero Diocese.

Bishop Lawrence Mukasa said that the seminary holds the future of the Diocese.

He noted that the 181 seminarians are expected to complete their journey to Priesthood, saying that if this whole number doesn’t make it, it will be a cause for concern.

He further more congratulated the Rector , seminarians plus the Old students upon this day as the Seminary celebrated their 22nd anniversary.

He then commissioned the newly constructed dormitory worth shs500m named “ArchBishop Dr Cyprian Lwanga Dormitory / complex” the founder of the seminary, remembering his tremendous contribution to the seminary.

The Bishop thanked all people of Good will who have supported the seminary to accomplish the project.

Delivering his speech, the Rector, St. Kizito Minor Seminary, Nandere Rev. Fr.Kisamba Peter noted that alot has been achieved with in the 3 years he has been at helm of the institution namely; Secured safe drinking water, renovated priest’s residence, completed Archbishop Cyprian Lwanga memorial Complex and number of seminarians grown from 96 to 181.
