St Mary’s Kitende to clash with Standard High Zana in the Boys football semis of the Elite Schools Championship. The Second Edition of the Elite Schools Championship has reached day with high anticipation come in as St Mary’s Kitende facing Standard High Zana in Entebbe road derby.
The clash is going to be one of the Semi finals after Kitende reaching the stage with five wins in five games. Kitende topped group A with 15 point while Standard High Zana came second behind better goal differenced Royal Giant Mityana on 10 points in group B. St Mary’s Kitende is defending the championship after beating Buddo SS 4-0 last year with a brace from Richard Basangwa as Najib Yiga and Ojera Derrick finishing the scorers’ sheet.
Now if Kitende they are to deffend the tittle, A task ahead is to through out Standard High Zana in a Semi final which is to be held at Old Kampala at 9:00am and then stop either Royal Giant or St Henry Kitovu from the other semi. Royal Giant reached Semi finals as group B leader with 10 points in 4 games and St Henry Kitovu finished second to St Mary’s Kitende On 9 points Both Semi finals shall be held at Old Kampala at the same time and they will be followed by Third place Match at Mid Day and then final at 2:00pm tomorrow as the Commissioner for Sport Omar Apita is expected to grace the event.
