Residents of Ndeeba and believers at St Peter’s Church of Uganda have been shocked by the demolition of the Church structure.

The demolition took place in the wee hours with the protection of Uganda police according to the eyewitness.

According to the believers who have been using this place of worship, it is alleged that a city tycoon known as Dodovico Mwanje has been claiming the ownership of this land.

In the deep cry worshipers also claim that the church has been in existence for 40 years back without anyone coming out to claim the ownership wondering how Mwanje came later.

It is on record that when Mwanje started claiming for the ownership, they proceeded to the ministry of lands where they verified that had no any attachment on this property which gave them a hope.

However head of the security in Kampala RCC Faridah Mayanja lashed to the place where the insident took place with a strong warning that whoever did it will face laws.

“we put the police post in this place to give a protection to this property and residents, then how can this happen in the watch of the same police”
