A team from Mwana Diapers led by their founding Director and team leader, Joy Rebecca Kiggundu paid a courtesy visit to the Archbishop of the church of Uganda.
This initiative was started by Bishop James William Ssebaggala’s daughter Joy Rebecca with an aim of modernising the traditional nappy.
During their visit in the Archbishop’s office in Namirembe, Joy expressed that since 16.5% of Uganda’s population are children below the age of 4 years, She thought of these diapers which are products that are both environment friendly and have no health risks to children.
The Archbishop of the church of Uganda noted that he is delighted to learn that Mwana Diapers are chemical free and made from natural resources.
He was also impressed by the fact that they are gentle on sensitive skin, adjustable and waterproof/breathable and eco-friendly.
“I have asked the Household and community transformation (HCT) Directorate to explore partnership with Mwana Diapers in their campaign to conserve the environment and protect the children.” He stressed
The team was accompanied by Bishop James William Ssebaggala who is the Bishop of Mukono Diocese.
