Zambia national soccer team( Chipolopolo have started the 2021 Cameroon Africa cup of nations qualifiers as they suffered to a 5-0 humiliating defeat away to Algeria in a group B opening match played on Thursday night at Mustapha stadium in Blida.
Algeria opened the scoreline in the 43 minute when Army Bensebaini tapped in a corner to send the game 1-0 to half time in favour of the home side.
As they were trying to equalize, the Chipolopolo coach Aggrey Chiyangi rested midfielder Cletus Chama and introduced striker Mwape Musonda but Algeria it made 2-0 via Baghdad Bouncedjah penalty following a foul on Yousef Belaili in the 67th minute, ther just 7 minutes Belaili added a third goal of the day.
Further Chiyangi introduced Bruce Musakanya in the place of Augustine Mulenga but still Soundani and Bounedgali added the fourth and fifth goal respectively.
Zambia will be at home to Zimbabwe in Five days time at the National Heroes stadium in Lusaka for match daytime.
