The chief executive officer,(CEO), of the Uganda Badminton association, coach Simon Magabi officially launched the Taibah schools tournament 2020 to be held in the indoor stadium, MTN Arena at Lugogo ,from 20th’ march to 22nd’ 2020.
While addressing the media at TaibahJunior School at KawempeTtula in the press conference held today coach Simon Mugabi highlighted on the guidelines to follow when to prepare the tournament successfully.
“International badminton federation gave us the guidelines to follow when to organize any badminton tournament. We are going to put sunnier in the every corner and sensitize all the students to wash their hands with soap and to sacking hands and haggling”, Coach Simon highlighted.
However, the member of UBA and a member of Taibah school MR. LukwagoAshirah, thank the UBA to allow them to organize this tournament over 20 years.
“I thank the UBA to allow TaibahSchool to organize this event every year; there should be no fear because there isn’t any student who has found with corona virus”.
30 schools are already registered for the 20th’ edition but 300 schools are expected to participate in the tournament 2020.
The tournament will consists only the students from 10 years to 19 years, as u10, u13, u15, and u19 both Girls and Boys.
Mbogo mixed school were the champion of 2019 in girls as Kibuli S.S in boys in the team.
Although, in the individuals Tracy Naluwoozain Girls u19 and MUSTFA Lubega named as the champion of 2019.
11 millions are inject in the tournament, awards and trophies are ready for the winners in both team and individual sport.
