The 2024-2025 FUFA Big League campaign officially kicked off on Sunday with six games played at various venues.

Match day one produced only three victories with Kigezi Home Boyz, Kiyinda Boys and Blacks Power smiling to wins in their respective opening games.

Ten goals were scored on match day one of the new Big League campaign.

Kiyinda Boys cruised to a 2-1 win over MYDA FC at Bertham City Stadium in Gayaza.

Innocent Opira and Arafat Kigozi netted the two goals for Kiyinda Boys while Joel Mutusa’s first goal only turned out into a consolation for MYDA FC.

Kigezi Homeboyz beat debutants Ntugasaze FC 2-0 at Kabale Municipal Stadium.

Joseph Sseremba netted a brace for the home side.

Mike Siwu netted the only goal for Blacks Power in their 1-0 win over Arua Hill at the Aki-Bua Stadium in Lira.

Kataka FC and Busoga United played out to a 1-1 stalemate at Mbale City Stadium.

Michael Olinga netted for Kataka before Isaac Doka Mweru struck the equalizer for Busoga United.

Kaaro Karungi were held to a 1-1 draw by Gaddafi FC/UPPC at Ntungamo.

Ronald Bithum scored for Allan Kabonge’s Gaddafi.

Meanwhile, the West Nile Derby ended in a goalless stalemate at the Aba Bet Greenlight Stadium.

The FUFA Big League will resume on 12th and 13th October.

Booma FC will entertain Black Power in Masindi on Saturday, 12th while Buhimba United Saints will welcome Onduparaka FC at Kigaaya Primary School on the same day.

Mityana based side Ntugasaze FC will host Kiyinda Boys at Mityana Ssaza ground while Busoga United will battle with Kaaro Karungi on Sunday, 13th.

On the same day, UPPC will welcome Kigezi Homeboyz at Works Playground in Entebbe whereas Booma FC will lock horns with Onduparaka FC at Masindi.
