The 21 edition of the individual Ludo championship started on Sunday 20 August 20232 at hockey ground Lugogo, with over one thousand participants taking part.
The two days tournament is expected to climax on Monday 21 August 2023 at the same venue where the overall winner will walk away with a motor cycle and other category winners will earn themselves prizes money.
The five winners from this tournament will earn themselves a place to the 10 man Ludo national team which will travel to Dubai in January, 2024 for the World individual Ludo championship.
No one has ever won back to back this championship and no any super league player have ever won this championship.
Daniel Wanyana of Namugongo Ludo club was the last year’s men’s category champion while, Kluthum Nakamya of Basajja Bayiya Ludo club was the last year’s female champion.
The clubs which took part in this edition include, Masaka Giants, Kiboga, Kazo, Buyende, Kubbiri, Metal, Nansana Galaxy, Nansana All-stars, Ntinda, Buloba A, Nakawa Market, Gulu City, Kings and Basajja Bayiya.
