The Archbishop of the church of Uganda His Grace Dr Samuel Steven Kazimba Mugalu has expressed joy towards The Rt Rev Alfred Muhoozi upon his consecration and enthronement as the third Bishop of North Ankole Diocese.
During the colourful ceremony at Emmanuel’s Cathedral Rushere Hill Kiruhura District, the Archbishop commended Rt. Rev. Stephen Namanya and Mama Lydia for their incredible work since 2015 until their retirement.
“Thank you my brother Bishop Stephen Namanya for transitioning the leadership of the Diocese, successfully and peacefully. You are putting on new tyres to continue serving in a different capacity. God still has work for you. We pray for God’s blessings in your retirement.” He noted
He welcomed Bishop Alfred Muhoozi and Mama Molly, upon their election to this office. He noted that this office has its level of challenges and blessings but they should face them with the fear and love of the Lord Jesus. “Welcome to the House of Bishops. We look forward to your contribution in building God’s kingdom.”He added
However, Dr. Kazimba appealed to North Ankole Christians to be united, loving and always forgive one another, and work together as a family in building their Diocese and Country Uganda as North Ankole is a beautiful land, so greatly endowed with wonderful resources, people, land, animals and so forth.
