The Crested Cranes Olympics qualifiers Final 23 lady Squad to Rwanda named

Crested Cranes assistant coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi has named the final travelling squad ahead 2024 Paris Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Qualifiers against Rwanda.

The team, that consists of 24 players that will face Rwanda on 12th July in the first leg at Kigali Pele Stadium before the two sides face off four days later for the return leg in Rwanda.

Among the notable names that have missed out on the team is Denmark based midfielder Phiona Nabumba.

FUFA said that Nabbumba is ruled out due to an injury thus missing out on the trip.

But the good news is that midfielder Joan Nabirye, who plays FK Minsk in Belarus will join the team in Kigali.

UCU defender Bridget Nabisaalu was a late addition on the team and she has made the final squad.

Kampala Queen’s Zainah Nandede, UCU’s Asiat Nalugwa have all not made the final cut.

Uganda came from a goal down to beat Tanzania 3-1 on Friday, in a friendly game held at MTN-Omondi Stadium Lugogo.
